Midnight Dungeon Club (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your personal data when you visit this website and when you sign up for product updates.

1. What we collect

a) When you subscribe to product updates:

  • Your email address

We do not ask you for your name, postal address, or payment information, and we do not collect them.

b) When you simply visit the site: we measure aggregate traffic so we know how many people are finding us. For each visit we record:

  • The page viewed and the referring site, if any
  • Your approximate country, derived from your IP address
  • Your browser, operating system and device type

This measurement is cookieless. Your IP address is used only in transit to derive the country and a short-lived, non-reversible identifier that distinguishes one visit from another within a single day; it is not stored alongside the statistics. The identifier is rebuilt daily and cannot be used to recognise you on a later day, to follow you across other websites, or to build a profile of you. We cannot identify individual visitors from these statistics.

Separately, and as with any website, our hosting provider records standard server logs (including IP addresses) for the purpose of delivering the site securely and reliably.

2. Why we collect it

Your email address is used solely to send you product updates about Midnight Dungeon Club. We will not use it for any other purpose.

Legal basis: Your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you check the consent box and confirm your subscription via the confirmation email.

Traffic statistics are used to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they reach, so that we can improve it. We do not use them for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.

Legal basis: Our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the use of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We consider this proportionate because the measurement is aggregate, cookieless, stores nothing on your device, and cannot identify you. You have the right to object to it — see section 5.

3. Who processes your data

  • MailerLite (UAB MailerLite, J. Basanavičiaus 15, LT-03108 Vilnius, Lithuania) processes your email address as our data processor. MailerLite stores data in the EU. See MailerLite’s Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA) hosts this website and provides our traffic measurement, as our data processor. Because Vercel is based in the United States, this involves a transfer outside the EU/EEA; that transfer is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses incorporated into Vercel’s Data Processing Addendum. We do not sell or share your data, and we do not transfer it to any other third parties.

4. How long we keep your data

  • Your email address: for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe or request deletion, it is removed within 30 days.
  • Traffic statistics: retained in aggregated form for up to 12 months.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Restrict processing
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured format
  • Object (Art. 21 GDPR) to any processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interest — this includes our traffic statistics
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
  • Complain to a supervisory authority in your country of residence

How to exercise your rights:

  • Unsubscribe via the link included in every email we send
  • Object to traffic measurement by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser, by using any content blocker, or by writing to us at the address below
  • Contact us at privacy@midnightdungeon.club for access, deletion, or other requests

We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not use cookies on this website. We also do not use local storage, device fingerprinting, or any other technique that stores information on, or reads information from, your device. Our traffic measurement is designed to work without them.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date above.
